Robert is currently incarcerated on death row in the Polunsky Unit in Livingston, Texas.
In the years since his hasty trial, while incarcerated on death row, Robert has clung to the religious teachings of his childhood and found strength in his faith. Robert loves studying the Bible. He has taken, and continues to take, many Bible studies while on death row. Robert has completed over a 100 Bible study courses offered by ‘Write Way Prison Ministries’ and other groups. God’s word gives him strength and guidance, and motivates him to be grateful for each new day and bring out the best in himself. It is Robert’s goal to one day open a ministry and teach others about the love of God and the Bible.
Robert’s favorite color is blue, and he is a huge animal lover. Robert grew up on a farm with lots of farm animals, and hopes one day to be out in the free world living on a farm surrounding himself with all sorts of animals. Robert especially likes dogs, which he calls “a man’s best friend.” Not only animals have Robert’s interest, but nature too. Robert has always been a fan of nature and loves to be outside.
Robert’s favorite food is Mexican food, pizza, and bbq. He likes to listen to rock music, country, western and rock. Robert is also a huge fan of football; the Dallas Cowboys are his absolute favorite. Robert has pen pals from all over the world and likes to spend his time writing his friends letters and sending them cards. The great thing about having friends from all over the world is, according to Robert, to get to know different cultures and get to know different people.
“Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up.”Luke 18:01; one of Robert’s favorite Bible verses
