Current Status

On May 11, 2023,a petition to the Supreme Court of the United States was filed on Robert’s behalf. You can read it here.

After Robert finally had a new chance to present overwhelming evidence exposing the injustice of his conviction and his actual innocence, the Texas courts denied him a new trial. As of now, the new appeal to the Supreme Court is his last hope.

Here is Robert’s attorneys’ filing in the Court of Criminal Appeals objecting to the trial court’s negative recommendation, and here is the proposal that the trial court ignored, which shows the vast new evidence of Robert’s innocence. His team will continue to fight to unwind this injustice.
